Friday 5/12/06

We took a day of sight seeing. We were suppose to go to a zoo. It was just to much for Hope and for us. We just wanted some time together to bond and relax. On our way to a nearby park, we stopped at a small shoe store. Hope found some little shoes with - guess what? Fish on them! Ha!

She was so sweet and patient as she waited for us to pay and go.

Hope in the shoe store. She loves holding Baba's hankie.

Walking to The People's Park in Nanning. It was just a couple of blocks from the hotel.

Hope is happy in the stroller. Good thing, because as much as we like to carry her, she is heavy!

What a beautiful park, and what a beautiful morning!
We are all having a great time, and making wonderful memories.

The Peoples Park in Nanning. There was dancing and singing and all kinds of interesting activities going on this morning. These ladies were doing some kind of dance with fans. It was beautiful.

Yes, she is two. That's all Iwe could understand of what these ladies were saying! But we could tell that they were saying lovely things to Hope and about her. These two sweet ladies kept talking to me and smiling and laughing and I had no idea of what they were saying, but we could feel their happieness for Hope and for us as a family.

What's all the fuss about? While strolling in People's Park in Nanning, Hope got LOTS of attention!

Hope fell asleep at the park. It was the first time we tried using a stroller....she liked it!

Just a quiet moment.

Baba and Hope sleeping.

Mama giving Hope her bottle before bed. She wants to hold one of Baba's hankies and her little stuffed musical elephant. (We had bought 2 of them. One we sent to her in her first package from us after we received pre -approval the adoption, and this one we brought with us. we did get the other back and it was well worn. We put it away for her to have later as a keepsake.) Each night get better gets better for Hope. There is alot less crying and she receives our love more and more.

Saturday 5/13/06

We had room service one day. They brought about five diffrent dishes. One of them was deep fried short ribs. Hope loved them. She could actually bite off a big piece! She will eat just about anything, and wants to!
