From there we headed for supper with the main course being Pekin Duck with a stop at the Silk Store. We got to see how silk was made. Very amazing. More Forbidden City

One of the nicest Toilets in Beijing.

Inside the Forbidden City.

Hey!! there are fish in there!!!!

Outside of the Forbidden City

This scene was just after visiting the Forbidden City. Then we were on our way to the Jade Factory.

Our first view of The Great Wall

We had a hard time really believing that we were actually here...
That was before our muscles were burning and we were all laughing because we had to stop every 10 feet or so to rest!

Those who climb the Wall are Heros...

This stone sign says that those who climb the Great Wall are
real men or heros. Sounded like a challege to us!

The Great Wall

This is just one of the many beautiful views we enjoyed.

Weapons of the Wall

If the Wall wasn't enough to intimidate an enemy - these probably helped do the trick.

The`Great Wall

Magnificent...Grand... Humbling

Resting at The Great Wall!

We could only climb a little way without stopping to rest!

A view of The Great Wall

What an incredible place, What incredible history!

The top of the Great Wall -( for us)

This has been such an incredible day!

All the sights and experiences have enriched our understanding of our daughter's country.

This sign was at the top of the Great Wall - well, sort of!

It was as far as we were going to go. We decided that Hope would probably need parents that could walk! Oh my goodness....what a work out!

Each night before we feel asleep for the past 10

months, we would say "we are one day closer"

Now, this is it - tomorrow is the day we have

been waiting for. Tomorrow we will finally have

our precious Hope in our arms!!!
